What Is Restylane®?
Restylane® fillers are made with hyaluronic acid, a complex sugar naturally found in your skin. Hyaluronic acid can effectively absorb large amounts of water, meaning it can provide natural-looking volume under the skin for effective rejuvenation. When Restylane® is injected into areas of low volume (such as facial wrinkles and folds), the crystal-clear gel provides natural support. This FDA approved dermal filler can also be used for lip augmentation, to fill in acne scars, and to enhance facial contours.

Who is a candidate for Restylane® Injections?
Good candidates for Restylane® treatments are those looking for natural improvement in areas like the marionette lines, nasolabial folds, smile lines, lips, and areas of low volume in the midface. Restylane® has a great safety track record, meaning most patients can benefit from filler treatments. During a consultation, our expert team will review your medical history for any bleeding disorders, severe allergies, and past allergic reactions. They will also create the right treatment package for you to address your specific cosmetic goals. Many patients also benefit from injectable treatments like Botox® at the same time as hyaluronic acid filler treatments.
How Long Does Restylane® Last?
Restylane® can last for up to 18 months, but this can depend on the treatment area. Areas where you make lots of facial movements, can mean that the product is metabolized faster. When you’re ready for re-treatment, you can return to our office for a touch-up.

What Happens During Restylane® Treatment?
Restylane® can be easily administered right in our office. Although many patients can tolerate the injection process, we can supply a topical numbing cream to further alleviate discomfort. Using small, precise injections and a very fine needle, your injector will place the product under your skin in areas where you want to restore volume. You’ll see results immediately and can return home afterward with some minor redness at the injection site. Overall, dermal filler treatments can take as little as 15 minutes.
