Dr. Carlos Mercado is a world-renowned cosmetic surgeon who has trained other doctors and designed new procedures that have helped thousands of patients around the world.
Dr. Mercado’s philosophy since founding Eterna MD in 2006 is the same as when he began his medical training at the age of 16: to help patients on the inside as well as the outside. Dr. Mercado’s procedures work on different parts of the body but have one thing in common: to treat the underlying cause in addition to the condition. Patients see a difference at Eterna MD with effective treatments and results that are the culmination of decades of Dr. Mercado’s experience and innovation.
Dr. Mercado is the inventor of the Colombian Butt Lift, Colombian Liposculpture, and Erectus Shots, as well as one of the pioneers of using regenerative medicine for cosmetic procedures. He has traveled around the world training other surgeons on his techniques that have offered better outcomes than traditional procedures for the same conditions. Dr. Mercado is a member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, American Academy of Liposuction Surgery, fellow of the American Academy of Anti-Aging, and is board certified in family medicine and geriatrics.
His success has also been recognized by patients: he was rated Doctor of the Year at Florida hospitals for three years running and was one of the top physicians in America in 2018.
