The timing’s just right! Efective treatment of Dysport requires 1 injection into each of 5 points between the eyebrows. Although office visit times may vary, the procedure generally takes about 10 to 20 minutes. The doctor will determine the exact placement of each injection to get results that are right for you.

Acne is a skin condition that occurs due to the overproduction of oil by the oil glads of the skin. The oil that normally lubricates the skin gets trapped in blocked oil ducts and result in what we know as pimples, blackheads, and whiteheads on the surface of skin. Sometimes it also includes deeper skin lesions that are called cysts.

*Pimples are small swellings that sometimes contain pus.

*Blackheads are dark formations on the skin due to an accumulated mixture of oil and cells in a blocked skin pore.

*Whiteheads are small flash-or-white colored bumps due to skin pore blockage.

*Cysts are closed sacs beneath the skin or deeper that contain fluid or semisolid substances.

The areas of the skin that are most subceptable to acne are those areas that contain the largest number of oil glands. For example, it is estimated that there are 2,000 oil glands per square inch on the forehead alone. The face, chest, shoulders, and back are the areas with the highest population of oil glands.

Acne commonly occurs in people between their teenage years and their 20s. However, it is not restricted to this age. Older adults and children can also have acne.

Iwas treating a 67 y/o female patient for a sesion that includes: Radiesse to enhance her cheeks and smiling lines as well as marionette lines followed by a DOT Laser. After I did her LEFT side of her face, I did show her the side that hasn’t been treated and she was just amazed about the immediate rejuvenating results. People wonder what can I do to reverse my signs of aging. As we age we lose VOLUME on our face as well as development of FACIAL LINES. With the present difficult economy, many patients are postponing surgery. Instead they want a quick, affordable solution to immediately meet their needs and look younger. Acne most of the time runs in families. 25% of patients have a chance to develop scars. There are several options for acne scars: fillers, microdermabrasion, resurfacing laser such as the SCITON as well as the DOT Laser.

It is important to keep the acne under control so patients have less chance to develop scars. Actually that might be the first objective!. Some patients mainly women develop for the first time in their life acne, usually after the age of 30. This might be a representation some times of an endocrine problem especially if it is accompanied by other symptoms.

Let’s review some of the options to keep acne under control: BLU- U light that kills the p. acne ( bacteria related to acne)- Aminolevulinic acid which is another option. Results might be similar to accutane. Aminolevulinic acid is a liquid that comes in a stick and is applied by the physician and then is followed by the BLU-U Light. Several peels might be used as well, such as the salicilic acid peel.

Once the patient scars then they can be filled by fillers in combination with the SCITON or the DOT Laser. With the DOT laser we use the “stacking technique”, the laser is directed to the target ( scar). The downtime might vary from 3 to 7 days.

It is important for patients to know the differences on the type of lasers when chosing to have laser hair removal done. Many people in florida have a dark complexity. Skin type 4 and 5 are dark according to the skin clasification. Make sure the patient is aware what type of laser will be used. Also make sure the LASER HAIR REMOVAL is done by a PHYSICIAN, not a tecnician. At ETERNAMD, all treatments are done by physicians. That is a big difference, since hair overgrowth might be a manifestation of an endocrine problem. Just the other day, while doing a consultation for hair removal in a patient who had done 2 treatments at another medspa run by technicians. This is what happened: I noticed hair overgrowth around her face, acne and central obesity ( obesity around the waist) as well as irregularities on her menstrual cycles. I suspected an endocrine problem: PCOS ( Polyscistic Ovarian Syndrome). Evidently after the tests were done the diagnosis was confirmed. Part of the syndrome is “INSULIN RESISTANCE” and ELEVATION in blood sugar. She was prediabetic and she was only 28. She was treated and now she has been saved from the devastating complications of diabetes. And she jsut came for “laser hair removal”!!

I am reporting on the significant improvement on wrinkles on patients face using the DOT Laser. Patients are requiring less botox. Using one of my techniques, that provides a double pass around the nasolabial folds ( smiling lines) patients have noticed signficant improvement. Some patients are requiring less fillers as well. The other day one of my regular patients came for her regular botox treatment. He comes every 3 months. I was ready to do his botox on his forehead. For my surprise he and I noticed that lines on his forehead were gone. He had the DOT laser done almost 4 weeks prior. He was very happy since he didn’t have to spent money in botox. When I perform the DOT laser on patients I go with a special setting for wrinkle reduction around the eyes, patients are noticing significant tightening and wrinkle reduction. At ETERNAMD, the DOT Laser has been introduced. I am reporting what our patients are saying: Male patients are reporting significant improvement on “brown spots” or age spots. A patient said that he was asked is driver’s license in a restaurant, since he looked at least 10 years younger after the laser ( he is 41 years old). One male patient came for a routine schedule botox on his forehead after 3 weeks after the DOT laser: “he didn’t need botox” since his forehead lines were gone. I have been seeing him before every 3 to 4 months for botox for the last 2 years. Female patients are reporting dramatic tightening of the face and neck.
